March In The Smokies
Fishing has been amazing most days past 10am. The drop in temperature at night has made the fish lethargic in the morning. As soon as the sun heats up the water a little it is on! If you are a dry fly fisherman the last few hours of the day is the time for you to go hit the river. For those that nymph fish you can be productive doing that all day.
The water is fluctuating between 48 and 54 degrees and it is VERY clear. So i cannot emphasize enough on staying low and NO bright colored clothing. Indicators are a bad idea also. The fly patterns we use are changing daily so give us a call or comy by the shop to see what we are using.
